Superman

Filed under: General — Karen @ 6:51 pm

A pleasing sequel/resurgence. I enjoyed the corny lines. The movie was smooth. The actor channels Christopher Reeve very well. I guess I’m a sucker for superhero movies.

Sara and I spent a quiet day at home in the heat. I mostly worked on my desk. I’m rangling health bills with are always complicated with the MD and the PhD. Sara played nicely and distracted me with little adventures. We visited our neighbors and got fresh raspberries. Yum.

Yesterday, Sara and Johana went swimming together. It was a fun outing. Sara is turning into a water baby after a winter of no swimming. She’s been about 5 times now, the first with Justin and Skylar.

National Camera Day?

Filed under: General — Wayne @ 5:37 pm

I saw on Gizmodo that it was “National Camera Day”. I wasn’t quite sure what that meant, so I went to Google it, and it is one of those terms that amazingly enough only shows up on 1 web page! Well I can’t pass up an opportunity like that, so I am spreading the “National Camera Day” meme. I’m not really sure what “National Camera Day” is supposed to mean, give the dearth of information about it on the web. I’ll just take it as an opportunity to show off a picture of a camera, that way I have it covered both ways.

“It’s Showtime!”

Filed under: General — Wayne @ 3:31 am

After many years of effort, “Cars” finally opens to the public today. We saw the movie at the wrap party months ago, so I am really excited to see it again with a real audience.

Personally I think it’s a good movie and everyone should run out and see it opening weekend.

New baby

Filed under: General — Wayne @ 4:45 pm

Well we had an ultrasound for our second child this week. All seems to be going according to plan. I tried to tell Sara it was a picture of a baby in the making, but she kept insisting it was a picture of HER as a baby in the making. Boy is she going to be in for a rude awakening come November…
