We’ve been to a lot of places and just have not had time to write much about them. Our vacation started on July 4th. We drove out to Kalaloch beach and camped in the campsite there. We took a lot of photographs and had a fun time watching the sunset and playing in tidepools. Then we drove over to Mnt Saint Helens and went up to the new visitor center. I had never been before, it was quite impressive being that close to the crater.
We ended the final phase of the vacation with a trip to Mount Ranier. We did some hikes in the Ohanapecosh forest and at Paradise. We stayed late at Paradise one evening and had a wonderful susnet that conincided with a moonrise of the Tatoosh Mountain Range.
We probably took about 5 good pictures (out of about 700, taking about 8Gbytes of data). I’ll post them up in a later post. Right now stress is building as the annual SIGGRAPH course approaches and my presentation at the RenderMan course nears.
