8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have crushed rejoice.
This is the verse that jumped out at me this morning. In the midst of disease and sorrow, this psalmist calls to hear joy and gladness. I think when you’re dealing with health issues, you look for joy and gladness apart from your health issues. It’s also interesting that the psalmist implicates God as the “bone crusher”. He doesn’t as for a miracle, just that his diseased part will rejoice. Interesting psychology of disease.
