Xmas books

It’s been an at home day, kinda. I did go to the gym to exercise. My silly body seems to believe it needs to be hurt. After having back pain that’s finally healing, my foot decided to have odd pains. Sigh. So I’m trying to stay off it. It’s hard to stay off a foot. There a saying’s about feet like “keep two feet on the ground”. I did water aerobics today. It’s a class I’ve frequented over the 9 yrs at our club. During pregnancy or other injuries. It’s a nice standby.

We pulled out all the Xmas books to have better access over the coming Advent days.

Laura added some Bibles. As she wisely pointed out, “They’re about Jesus.”

Laura has been enjoying playing with cats. All these cats have post it note beds. They’re even magnanimous enough to include a dog.

I also finished my book for Book Club. Given that I’m leading it tomorrow night, I’m a bit of a procrastinator in this matter. I suggested it, but haven’t read it for years. I had remembered enjoying it. Of the 3 books I presented, it was the one I hoped would win. But when it got to the actual reading, I was slow in picking it up. The Hunger games competed with it for my attention. Once I got into it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I tells about a violent time with the US Indian Wars on the Plains through the eyes of a surgeon. But the cheer and joy that are communicated by this man are addicting and welcoming.
Finished

Today is tree day. I might have more photos later.

So we did get a tree. I didn’t have dinner ready on time. We thought the tree place closed at 7pm. We admired the forming full moon. I kept trying the radio station with Xmas music and only got commercials-there and back. The best Xmas cheer was seeing Ashley and Caitlin. The girls giggled and lost themselves in the forest of trees. We smiled and found the perfect tree without the girls. When we got home, we acknowledged that just getting a live tree is enough for one night. We pumped up our Xmas tunes and swept and vacuumed needles for 45 min. The girls were diligent workers.

They rarely get free rein with a broom. We did enjoy Xmas books. The mouse one is very sweet.
