Make way

Advent is about making room in your heart for the coming king. We made way for our coming Xmas tree by moving living room furniture and bringing up the tree stand. Really, Wayne did all this. The kids excitedly brought things up from the basement. Laura came up carrying our Wisconsin Bucky Badger blanket. She referred to it as the “honey badger blanket”. She’s well versed on honey badgers, Bucky’s African cousin that can eat poisonous cobras, from PBS’s Wild Kratts epsiode on that animal. I thought it hilarious that she got that confused with my alma mater’s mascot the American badger.
