We ducked out of church early to see Seattle Children’s Theaters presentation of Robin Hood. It was a fabulous production and worth the expense. Sara skipped along in the morning sunshine. We talked about the definition of anticipation versus waiting. The time alone gave me time to teach Sara along our journey. We got a front row seat and Sara had space to lie her head in my lap during the performance on the bench seat. We talked about if they’d actually shoot arrows or not. The performance itself was magical. The sheriff was dasturdly and fun. The production had the right balance of political (so timely with the Occupy Movement; it couldn’t have been planned better). There was an edge of violence, but smoothed over with humor and antics. It was perfect for my newly 8 year old.

Sara’s highlight was getting a cookie from concessions and sharing it on the way home. Wayne took Laura to the Ballard Farmer’s Market.
We got our exercise in the evening going to Pump It Up bday party for Jasmine.
