This was our day to visit with Robin, a good friend. She visited us from Illinois at the delay in seeing her family. It is good to have friends like her. There was no rush. We breakfasted on chocolate babka. We lazed around and talked in the living room. In the leisure, Robin, mother of two boys, helped me brush the girls hair. She have Sara a french braid.
The day was broken up by some testing Sara did for Seattle Public Schools.
Robin introduced Sara to origami. She downloaded a step by step app on the ipad.

Laura responded that she wanted to do some too. She pulled out this craft that stuffs toys into different shapes. We dubbed it Laurigami.

We continued to celebrate Japanese culture at Moshi Moshi to Laura’s delight. We stopped at Clover ahead of time to get Robin gifts for the boys. Robin cleverly bought Sara a origami kit and Laura an age appropriate Laurigami set that involved doable folding and stickers. It was such a clever gift. But the best part was getting to spend a day with a friend.
