Tonight was a celebration. It was a sign that we’re firmly in Fall.
This week has been illness/gimp week. I’ve had nausea for a few days combined with insomnia. I’ve been having some back pain. Wayne has knee pain. I almost opened a hospital ward. My nausea seems to be abating slowly. Luckily, I’ve had the time to rest. Laura was tolerant of having a movie day one day. I had to clear a day of schedules. No swim lessons. No
No free swim playdate. No girl’s movie night out. Which left us with a weekend free of obligations.
Tonight, I cooked. I had a medley of stuff involving thyme, apples, pecans, mustard, and pecans. I made a pizza with thyme, apples, gruyere and goat cheese, and argula.

I made broccoli with pine nuts and Dijon mustard.

Finally, I finalized my acorn squash with maple syrup, pecans, and goat cheese. This is my attempt to increase my veggie exposure. I am not an acorn squash person. I get jealous of all the fun stuff people put on squash- brown sugar, butter, nutmeg. I decided to have some for myself.
