Cheese and Pleased

Gouda has been my experiment this summer. I’ve been looking for a good hiking cheese. My parents default hiking lunch has been cheddar cheese with crackers. Not being a cheddar fan, I have not partaken. But I’ve been searching for a cheese I would like to eat. I’ve found manchego and finally gouda. Certain sweeter goudas are my new consumable.

Last night, we had a cracker and cheese and grape and cold asparagus and edamame dinner. We have all these ends of cheese to finish from camping days. We’d had a big meal at the J&C Octoberfest. So it was a perfect excuse.

Every Fest is different. Just like every Fair.

Gusty, windy, huge rain storm with fierce sun. A Northwest day. We had canopy that held up great in the gusts.

My girls rode bikes during the strongest rain and loved it. They played delightedly with the twins. We talked with neighbors. I picked blackberries in the alleyway with the girls. We played with young lab puppies in a neighbors yard. No photos, but nice memories.
