The dregs of the last overnight at Nana and Papa’s. The girls has pancake breakfast and Laura made chocolate milkshakes in the sand at Golden Gardens.
I had the morning to myself. I finally got to a doctor to address my cough that just keeps on. I set off the restock the house. Shopping took up the rest of the time (including unloading and organizing) until I picked up Sara from school.
We rushed to swimming lessons. Sara was excited to be in the pool again. I’m amazed at how far they’ve come. Floatation assistance is a distant memory. Sara was doing some lap swimming with me in my lane. Laura can make it half the length of the pool by herself.
Wayne met us with pizza and we headed to Gasworks. We met Mom and Dad and Mike and Edith. We watched the sun set over downtown Seattle. We munched on pizza and picnicked and watched boats and paddleboarders. The girls played barefoot in the grass. They picked blackberries. Ah, summer.
