With the crack of the door and the caw of a crow, my day begins. I’m sitting it bed, awoken early by the light, but not ready to leave the comfort of the covers. I slog around on my computer, reading blogs and facebook and things. I contemplate the day. How am I going to get it all done? And then I realize I am very lucky. The day will come with graces, I’m not imagining right now.
Long days of sun that don’t require me to watch the weather to pinpoint the rain.
Leftover pizza with my parents.
Doctor friends who can care for my Mom’s knee.
Girls enjoying my Saturday morning cartoons, Looney Tunes, thanks to Papa.
A slow walk with the girls in the middle of business.
The girls fighting over who pushes the stroller with the stuffed dog in it. And neither of them uses the stroller anymore.
The thought of exciting places to go.
Blue lakes in my future.
For rice socks that warm my skin.
Other folks gardening and having beautiful flowers for me to see.
For a God who loves me dearly.
Morning Psalm 42
1 As a deer longs for flowing streams,
so my soul longs for you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
