The last day of school was fun, but consuming. I biked the girls to school. There was the end of school assembly that I attending with Wayne. That lasted till almost noon. Then I agreed to pick Sara up at early dismissal at 2:30pm. Again, biking. Let’s say, I got my exercise and didn’t do much else.
The neatest part of the day was Sara receiving a Humanitarian Award for kindness. Two kids from every class are chosen for this award. I am very proud of her. Additionally, her report card was full of good things which made her Momma proud.
We visited her teacher after school for a parting photo and were so excited to hear we get another wonderful year with her!
Of course, you have to celebrate the end of school with ice cream. We continued our annual tradition with goofy photos.
