Northwest biking
This was a first. I biked and the girls did also on their own bikes. Normally, if I’m biking, the girls are attached to my bike. Today’s forecast was for rain all weekend. The last two days have proved to be mostly rainy. But there was a solitary burst of sunshine. We caught the last edge of that. The clouds had moved in, it was colder, but there was no rain. So we pushed chores aside and went out.
My joints continue to ache with standing or walking long. Biking helps. Sara is a pro. Laura can ride on flat, but not quite vetted for hills and traffic. So we used the skuut bike. It worked well. I see a new paradigm of family exercise evolving.

The girls also gathered a bunch of flowers for me in preparation for mother’s day. The based flowers are early presents from Laura’s preschool.

Wayne was gone at LA for 2 days. When he came back, he brought a small Tangled/Rapunzel barbie type doll with very long hair. Laura was so excited about playing with it in water. I posited that water would get the long luminous hair tangled. Laura looked at me quizzically. “But Mom, that’s her name”. She got to play with the doll in the water.
One night we started hanging with Emi et al for a playdate. It turned into a delightful dinner invitation and am endless playdate. My girls were very happy.
