Easter

This Easter was about grace as every Easter is. In some worlds, it would be an after thought. But the grave being empty is not an after thought. It was a plan from the beginning of the world. So I sang, ‘Roll that stone away’ to my girls. We brought out Easter baskets we hurriedly put together while the girls watched TV. (Smart me had gotten all the stuff together before our trip). The girls started the morning with peeps.

We headed to church and declared him risen indeed. I sang the Hallelujah chorus next to Carolyn. It rained while we added flowers to the cross. The dresses of the girls were beautiful.

Life hit us at home. Laura accidentally got a hole in her dress. Food spilled. We were all cranky and starved from jetlag. Food and naps were healing.

We headed to J&C to celebrate their new house. The girls played delightedly with their friends. I was intrigued with wasabi cheddar.

We had Easter dinner with friends. More delighted playing. Lovely ham and kale and scalloped potatoes.

Monday looms, but it doesn’t overshadow the joy of this day!

He is risen.

He has risen indeed.
