Doing things together as a couple alone is important. We’ve had some really precious social time with friends in past weeks, but this was the first time in a long time it was just us.
It was agendaless with regards to being together. We had a plan: dinner & movie. Free movie, in fact. The last vestige of compensation from the theater for cutting of the credits for TS3. That is now a faded memory. I had such fun last night.
We were running behind and gave up on pho. We found the Mandarin Gate in the Oak Tree shopping center. Hadn’t been to Chinese for eons. Good Chinese is hard to find in North Seattle. Our dinner wasn’t good, but it was pleasant. It was nice to sit in he familiar- the atmosphere that is the same on small Chinese restaurants all over the country. The sides were all decent- crab Rangoon, spring roll, tea, fortune cookies. The Mongolian beef was ok and the cashew chx was bland. Still filling and fun and fast. Fun waitress.
The tourist was the same description. It was perfect fluff. Who doesn’t like watching Angelina and Johnny? The dresses! Wow! The couture stole the show. Someone wanted to make Angelina look ravishing. Fun dialogue. Depp in frumpy pajamas on Venice’s roof- delightful. This was actually very good spy, thriller, fluff.
Hanging w/ hubby…priceless.
