Indian

Tonight, I tried to recreate Indian food. I end up getting most of our meat from Trader Joe’s. While not organic, per se, they seem to pay attention to the quality of the meat more than big brand shops. I like the packaging (often in marinades) and am happy with price and result. I’ve struggled with the curried chicken. I will grill it, but alone, it seems lost. So tonight, I prepared. I bought frozen naan, biryani curried rice, and a bottled korma sauce. We grilled the chicken. I doctored the korma with onion, garlic, 3 different peppers, peas, and spinach. I added the chicken, the rice, and the sauce. The whole effect is very nice. Laura took to the naan and asked for it with the “yellow stuff”. It took us a while to translate that into olive oil. She wanted to dip the naan italian style into oil. Later, she tried to combine ketchup and olive oil. I put my foot down. Crossing too many cultures there.
