The snow continued to fall, but the roads remained clear. Wayne woke me with news that today we were going to drive. It was a busy morning of packing. The house was shifting. New guests were coming. We hadn’t packed since I hadn’t planned on leaving till Monday because of snow. I had to get all the stuff we had accumulated with festivities. Laura cried at mine and Sara’s attempt to pack her Light Bright.
Breakfast was spectacular. We waited for Kenny and Michelle. 5 yrs since we’d seen them! Karen and the boys came. Fried ham, eggs, hash browns, bacon, biscuits, lox, pumpkin bread. Breakfast was lunch and saw us out on the road at noon.
Throughout TN, there were sections of increased snow. Monteagle was drifting and icy. We got delayed by traffic in Chattanooga. Dalton, Ga had more drifting snow. It wakes the world up and males it beautiful when you cover it in snow.
It was nice to be safe and warm in Atlanta. Cousins playing. Dinner of chili. Celebrating 44 yrs of my parents awesome marriage. Fun to see all the offspring. Wrapping for 2nd Xmas tomorrow!
