Today is slow and filled with sunshine. There is a promise of Xmas snow In the next few days. It sounds great if I didn’t have to travel the next day. I should probably focus on the fact that there might be XMAS SNOW!!!! That’s the kids perspective.
Doug appeared this morning. It feels natural for him to just pop into the family landscape after a long drive from NC.
Mani and pedi day for the girls. Wayne is off early for shopping with his Mom and Doug. Us girls are going slow. Hair is in knots and needed attention. We played spelling games while watching Word World.
Slowness continues. We’re outside, playing with animals and cars. The girls cleaned a pink corvette from their grandparents carport.
In the meantime, I biked. My daily routine. It helps my joints feel less stiff.
Slowness in the sun. Slowness in life. Sigh of happiness.
The day ended with dinner at Pancho’s in Columbia. What a great place for Mexican. Cathey had made reservations. We weren’t seated till 7pm. We were a group of 20 and everyone in Columbia seemed to want to eat there too. While in the purgatory of waiting, all the guys circled the Xmas tree in a strange male ritual (they were jawing, but it looked funny).
The meal was wonderful, especially the enchilada. The best part was we waited past the business and were able to relax and visit. The kids were all at on table and pretty occupied with each other.
