Nature abhors a vacuum. Given that I set aside time for this weekend to prep for travels, it makes sense that I didn’t even get close to that goal. We had the “recover from vomit” at the beginning of our weekend followed by flooding today.
The good news: not as bad as 2007. The carpet didn’t get damaged. Wayne caught the water early. We borrowed a shop vac from Cindy. Jon came over and helped. I continue to be thankful for community.
I contentedly made pizza from scratch. Prosciutto, mozzarella, red pepper. The crust came out perfect. I also made sugar cookies from Nestle kit. What fun! The kids love the frosting and sprinkles.
