Sara and I went to this one on our own. I wanted to go quickly. It ended at 5pm and I had a babysitting gig that evening. So off we scrambled. I held Sara’s hand as we walked. I’ve done this every year. I heralds the beginning of the holiday season. It was the first “event” I went to with each baby.
I have to get my Ableskiver. As Wayne says, if you’re not standing in line with 100s of people, it’s not ableskiver. That’s how I’ve always experienced mine. Trying to fit in this tiny classroom, watching lovely volunteers taking skewer sticks and playing with dough as it forms into a lovely ball. Powdered sugar and strawberry jam cover this delight. I ate it and bought some to bring to Wayne.

Sara bought some homemade fudge with her own money. We went upstairs among the crafts. Sara’s eyes widened. We found fun ornaments. I bought a book about an Ice Pony. Sara bought 20 Norwegian flags on toothpicks.
