Laura has been practicing her Xmas singing. Her preschool knows after years of doing this that if you want young voices to remember words, you start in September. Now Laura knows them well enough to belt out Angels We Have Heard on High while we bike, just in time for Halloween. When my daughter sings, I enjoy matching her tones and singing with her. I just don’t get to pick the format or the song list. So I happily sing along.
It does add some awkward moments when we pass neighbors. We already get intrigued looks with our bike seating three. Now it’s enhanced as we whiz past pumpkins and ghosts belting out Gloria!
