The endless walk

It has been a sunny week. Today was the closing day of that weather. This weekend is just layers of storms. There has been fog. This Halloween fog rolled in after a few hours of sun and clear. I had completed a bike ride at this time.

Sunday we finally got our Blake Island fun. I always gone with the intention of having lots of conversations with other school parents. The reality is I should bring a book. I snuggled with Laura on the way out since it interrupted her nap. Sara brought her money and had the funnest time with the onboard concessions. She got candy to share with her friends and a treasure chest of fake jewels she also shared and traded. The island was beautiful with cold and sunny weather. I adopted one of Sara’s friends and we matched to the far end of the beach away from all eyes to build a fort. That is why I don’t get to talk much. They stacked driftwood and directed Laura. They found sea grass to tie up a stiffed eagle. The ride back was a feeding frenzy with the concessions. There was nothing left. The trip spanned lunch and dinner and salt air works on appetites.

There’s construction outside my work. My main entrance is now blocked. It makes for good walking.

This was a fall tree on my Wed walk into work.

Laura and I went for a 2 hr, 3 mile walk to school. We racked Sara another mile for her marathon plus what she did in running club. The weather man promised rain and we planned to walk. The walk back with Laura was long and sauntering. Laura fed her bear berries. She pushed him in the stroller. We stopped to eat apples. We admired Halloween decorations. She swang on a neighbors swing.

This was in a backyard. The alligator effect is cool. Those are hands coming out of a gravel pile in the back.
