Glacier d9 home

Left Comfort Inn in Spokane at 9:30am. The breakfast was fun. Those belgian waffle makers are fun. Fresh fruit is obviously too much of a luxury to put out. I think people take fruit with them to have as a later snack to eat. Maybe they can’t accommodate it. We’re definitely in the part of the trip of poor eating. Less options as we push home.

High winds over the gorge made our stop at the Gingko Petrified Forest difficult.
Really Hard Wood
We would of picnicked, but retreated after wandering around a bit. They had lush lawns of green grass under huge gingko trees. Dad watched the girls and had them running after his baseball cap. He’d throw it in the air and the 30mph winds would dash it around for the girls to try and catch. That ran off some energy. We opted for DQ in Ellensburg. The blizzards are delightful. They also have more variety, hotdogs for the kids.

Rain and fog going over the pass. Welcome to Western Washington.

Home by 4:30. Spent 1.5 hrs unloading the car and drying things (tent) out. After that, we were spent. The girls played so well while we rested.

Dinner was bare bones. No energy to shop. Sick of pizza and take out food. Frozen edamame, canned soup, frozen pizza snacks, Gatorade, chocolate milk from a juice pack, a lone apple with
peanut butter, and carrots with ranch. We’ll shop tomorrow. Mom blessedly will feed us tomorrow for dinner.
