Today is the focused packing day. I’ve been playing, but it’s crunch time. Before I had fed the girls breakfast, I was hunting for a saw and babyproofing my house for Lucy. Claire’s gang raised the estrogen count to 7. It worked out well. Claire got wifi, the girls had a blast playing, and I headed to the basement for more packing. I probably had fewer interruptions since the girls had friends. I was also impressed with how flexible our house was to numbers. When Laura wanted to be alone, she went into her room. All the girls could color at the same time. Claire had room to do computer work and still see Lucy’s antics. I nixed Laura’s idea of water guns (though as she pointed out it is hot). I did like her idea of Popsicles. We had the girls over for lunch and processed leftovers. Popsicles made the perfect desert.
