Morning glory

What a delight! Girls bring unexpected blessings. Last night, we were tired from packing and cooking and chores. No Bible stories were read. This morning with more energy and time, I noticed our Bible stories we collect in pamphlets from church (GospelLight) were cleaned off (art work moved off of them). So I grabbed on to read to the kids over breakfast. It happened to be Acts, the book we’re doing in church. Laura chimed up, “What about the candle?!” We hadn’t done a candle in months. It was still purple from Easter. So we changed the color for Ordinary Time to green. It fit in the molded puddle of green wax from last Ordinary time just perfectly. We read about Peter healing a man so he could walk. Sara marched and tiptoes and jumped per the story readiing (designed for kids to participate). Sara read the “Bless the Lord” while I lit the candle. Laura blew out the candle. We talked about how we’d try to help someone today like Peter. We’d talk over our experiences tonight.

This is a fun message Sara had for me. Like Mary, I’ll treasure it in my heart.
