I’m ready to slip into sabbath. After bike riding for 5 days and going to VBS for 5 days, I am ready for some rest. The rest will be truncated since we didn’t get much packing done today. But the house is beautiful.
We’ve unpacked the myriad of VBS crafts. They’ve been sitting in bags on the floor. Paper art, I deal with well. I have a box for their home. It’s the masks and rain sticks and signs and chalk boards I had more problems with. We did a whole clean up of art and art supplies. Wayne helped me so much. I’ve gone thru several loads of dishes, cleaned out the fridge, processed fruits, and made nice quesadillas tonight (corn, scallion, spiced grilled chicken, queso fresca, avocados, and salsa).
This morning, before the rains, I took the girls to the finale of Vbs, a carnival at the church. We bike again (I am predictable). Black, the girl’s tandem, threw a chain on the ride. I missed their pedaling up the hill. Sara sat with a rabbit named Baxter for 30 min. She even got Baxter to lie on his back like a baby in her lap for 5 min. The bouncy house was empty. The girls had a blast bouncing in such generous circumstances. Normally, these bouncy houses are crowded with lines and time limits. The girls darted from game to game getting prizes like candy necklaces. Darts to pop balloons, bowling, balloons, painting, fishing in a kiddie pool.
