Is it worth it? Yes. I feel like I am home. We arrived at Gold Basin campground at 5:45pm after a long slog thru traffic. We left at 3pm and stopped for 30 min for dinner at mcds. It took Wayne a measly hour. Since then, I’ve gotten to walk thru the lives of folks from my church. The kids have roamed. They’ve discovered a secret hiding place that fits 10 kids I’m the brambles but keeps out adults. Sara has been attached to Mango, the dog, constantly. We had 6 player Mexican train. I waded into the Stillaguamish river. All within a few short hours.
I wasn’t confident of our departure last night. I was snappish and tired and it felt like I had too much to do. But we worked. And I worked this morning. And things started to come together. I packed the car for the first time by myself for a camping trip (normally Wayne’s job). I set up the camp myself (with Burke and Doug’s help). We even did swim lessons earlier.
The new busy.
What Sara and Papa did after lunch. Sara used to lay on Papa’s chest as an infant.
