This was Wayne’s day to be at school and bring a friend. I arrived with Laura around 11am because Wayne was told to ‘bring a friend’. We milled around awhile, a group of parents waiting for instruction. And then things happened. Grills got lit (eyebrows almost singed), six old grills in a row. Boxes of frozen meat got broken open. Food appeared on tables. I got involved in grilling even though I had to keep my eye on wandering Laura. Blessedly, there was another Mom and another 3 yo so entertainment happened.
