Laura still wants to nap at 11am. That’s my explanation for her breakdown at REI. She confirmed it by putting herself to sleep when we got home.
We got all our shopping done. The girls have new shoes. Wayne has luggage for London. I even found Sara a set of polypropylene for a year from now. The kids got to play a lot on the play structure. I got to smooze with Eric and Ruby from our preschool. Another family from my work was buying shoes at the same time as us. Lots of good.
It still degenerated into a sob fest at the end that was stressful.
One of the folks we met a REI stated what I feel…going places with kids (we referenced shopping and camping in this conversation) is not relaxing. It takes work to get things done. Wayne stated he could have done everything at REI in 20 min by himself. It took us 2.5 hrs with kids. Course it’s hard to fit kids in shoes without the kids.
