I could write a sermon about this morning. A lot happened. I’m enjoying less happening right now. My life has been made up of happenings. Travel. Conference. Conference. Travel. Travel. Travel. Feels like life has been happening since February. The travel now stops (for a short time) and I get to be home. There is contented feeling in that.
My girls displayed lovely generosity today. We grabbed some treats at Larsen’s this morning to bring Claire a birthday breakfast. While I was making the card, Sara and Laura started coloring parts. Sara took the card and delivered it downstairs to the present. Little did I know that she took her own money and put it in the card for Claire to get when she opened it. I was awestruck by the beautiful heart of my girl.
Laura picked daisies. I was rushing. We were late. But she picked daisies. She brought the into the school and passed them out to the librarian, a friend, a teacher. The smiles on faces were joyful. All I gave was rushing. Thus the sermon.
I’m thankful God gave me girls to teach me.
p.s. The Blindside is an awesome movie. Finally got to see it.
