Blessed sleep. I slept till 9am. That’s the best mothers day gift. My cousin was less lucky, getting my girls waking up her girl who woke her up instead of me. The whole gang was watching Shrek when I walked in.
Shrek has just entered my girls awareness in the past few weeks. I guess they’ll now notice we actually own it.
Oldest had a softball game. Mom and me and Laura chilled. Laura needed some alone time. We sunned ourselves in the backyard and talked. Laura brought us food. She was “cooking” for us.
We visited the helicopter park. Laura had a blast.
Left 2pm, arrived 3:15pm at the Hilton. Napped. Prom time. Getting dressed at the hotel was a great idea. Fancy dresses and suits don’t mesh well with animal hair, excited kids, and limited room for hanging- challenges in most homes.
This is the 10th adult prom for us. It was one of the best. As members have grown, we’ve watched the challenges of wining and dining large numbers of people. Pulling it off is a fine art. This one was one of the best.
It was such a gift to be able to come back to the Hilton at 12:30am. I just fell into bed.
