Thursday afternoon, we left at 4pm. Bathrooming didn’t wait till Ferndale. We stopped at Jack ‘n Box in Burlington for dinner also. No playground,but food was fine and kids needed it. The restaurant was very windy, poor architecture I suppose.
Border crossing went fine. Both ways were clear. 5 min.

8pm Four Seasons welcoming as always. Car valets are so welcoming for kids. They specifically engage them in sweet ways. This time I had everything ready to take out of the car. There’s no time to dawdle in hotel driveways. Hadn’t remembered that last time.
Kids got “sushi” snack on arrival. Rice krispies treats wrapped with fruit roll ups. No more cookies with their names on with frosting. One valet assented it was because of parent complaints of too much sugar. I thought it was fine (and delicious), but so is the substitute.
Kids excited by the hotel. There’s something enchanting about a newly cleaned room for you alone to muss up.
