Hamster ants

We were all watching a Nova special on Pluto. The previews showed the next episode was about ants. The video showed the ants very up close and dramatically. Sara started to get nervous, asking several times “what are those?” my response “ants” must have been unconvincing because she continued to ask the question several times. Ants in her mind are small and inconsequential and not so scary looking. Finally, Laura shouted, to answer Sara’s question, “Hamsters!”. We all laughed. Wayne continued the joke by calling them “hamster-ants.”
