Busy week.
Had a girls night out to Bastille with Ballard friends.
Tried out Mountlake Terrace pool on Friday after I picked up Sara from school. Our pool has been too cold. The girls were all excited about a “new pool”. It’s warm. The river is fun.
Sara had Emma June spend the night. It was our first successfully sleepover. We had tried before with Johanna without success. EJ was more stalwart joining us to parties and church like she’s Sara’s twin. Laura cried when she left.
Birthday weekend lead with EJ’s pony birthday. Cindy’s 40th that evening. I love praying at birthday parties. I think it’s a great addition to my traditions.
Today was a miserable, rainy day ruining any plans for a walk. Sara got to dance at Sonya’s bday party. I’m continually amazed at Sara’s ability to adapt to social situations. She was uncertain when she began. She didn’t want to dance. She quickly got caught up in the fun and sat next to a friend from church each time.
Tonight we went to our church’s 122nd birthday. You got to love an annual meeting with balloons.
It just made me laugh with joy. I think God was too.
