New Years Eve

Our home group had tagged this night. In September, we noted that New Year’s Eve landed on one of our nights and made a date. The actual plans for the gathering didn’t materialize till a week before, but it’s been on my mental calendar. This was the first full energy day Wayne’s had since stomach virus of Saturday. He stepped up and made breaded pork chops from smittenkitchen, our new favorite food/recipe site. Sprague brought an amazing savory bread pudding. There was the massaged kale (the most relaxed kale I’ve ever eaten) and a plethera of deserts- cookies and carrot cake. No one wanted a slice of our pumpkin cheesecake. The kids watched Monsters Inc. The adults counted down the East Coast New Year. Wayne and I got some good sleep for our last night of 2009.
