I got to host tonight. I started making a big pot of beef stew on Saturday and finished off the rest on Sunday afternoon. We had 3 at first. Sara and Laura got to run around with their friends, much to their delight. Wayne got to talk computer speak.
Then the ladies arrived, 3 ladies from my home group. We met to watch Lost in Austen. It was actually quite fun. I’m an Austen fan and the pinnacle of all things Austen is Darcy. The movie was genuinely fun and had fun with Austen’s characters.
At the end, I thought about how I have my own Darcy. Wayne made a fire, put the kids to bed, and cleaned up the downstairs for my gathering. He makes me smile.
