The house is in a bit of a disarray. I’ve been doing to much and have not bonded with my house ( read: clean). I wa expecting torrential rains today. When the weather showed itself to be not rainy, I hopped on my bike. Leaving was interesting. Laura doesn’t like to be rushed. She had a streak of independence (more like a permanent trait) and spilled granola all over the floor. It’s still crunching under our feet since I have to get Laura to help vacuum it. We’ve been gone all morning (biking) and she doesn’t like loud noises. I need her well rested to help with that task. Laura also came downstairs wearing Sara’s crocs which don’t fit her feet well and place her at risk for falling. I let that one slide. Score one for independence.
Laura was a lovey and sat through a boring school meeting for 1.5 hrs yesterday without uttering a peep. She was occupied with coloring. I’m trying to lobby for the girls not to be split up between 2 schools. I’m all for public schools, but my journey had been quite rocky.
I biked Sara to school. We made it on time. I headed a few blocks uphill (grrrr!) and went shopping. I bought a limited selection since laura is in the trailer. It worked. I met 4 people I know in quick succession. Yeah, community.
I dropped a book of for Claire. Then we joined a playdate for 30 min. W both snacked on kettle korn.
Sara had picture day. She’s excited for me to see the results of her work at curriculum night.
It’s nice not to be swimming today so I can catch up from all the business of the past few days.
