Zoo

This Sunday hammered home that summer is gone. Except the weather. Perfect 70 degree days in a row. Makes you want to get outside; which we did. We returned to church after a hiatus related to my parents visit.
New procedures in Laura’s room to prep for H1N1. Sara starts a new room at Godly Play, a sensorimotor way to experience worshipping God. The service was packed. It was hard to move around the fellowship hall. We heard a thoughtful sermon about work and how it defines our identity in God.
We headed home. Naps were accomplished by adults, but kids played. We headed out to the zoo at 3pm. Now that’s the time to head to the zoo. It was less crowded than on the weekdays. Laura was reluctant to join the family. She lost the opportunity to ride the carousel after running away twice. Next time. When we split up and I let Laura go at Laura pace, life got easier. Laura ran back and forth between the tigers and me on the bench 5 times.
The ending at the playground was picure perfect with no tantrums. I think it’s one of the best playgrounds in Seattle. I even got a chance to do some yoga on a blanket.
We got ready the week, gave girls bath, cooked bool kogi, and made chocolate covered strawberries with euphoria chocolate. Sara ate all the starwberries before the rest of us. Sara built a rocket out of a coke bottle.
Got kids to bed. Sampled Vampire Diaries. It better get better otherwise we won’t be watching it for long. Defying gravity might be interesting. We’ll see.
