Post Halloween shopping

It’s interesting how my consumerism is shaped by time. Just last week, I was wondering if I had too much candy. The answer was yes. I bought the “good” candy and lots of it. Our house is usually on a highway of treaters. This year, they all dove into the interior streets and didn’t venture on our main thoroughfare. I personally guided 3 different groups to our house while taking Sara out. She kept saying, “Ask them! Ask them!” I got some odd looks. This week, I bought “My Little Pony” plates and hats for Sara’s party. There were none at Target where we shopped last week. No one has just plain horse plates. Sara looked at my loot and said, “Mom, it’s a horse party, not a pony party!” She didn’t seem too disappointed. I also bought $3.00 worth of Thanksgiving stickers to make cards for relatives. She’s already making cards for all the guests to her party. I’m going to try to convince her to save them for thank you notes. We’ll see.
