Organization

For several months now, I have been asking friends and colleagues the question, “how do you stay organized?” I’ve been frustrated with lack of focus and feeling disorganized. Lately, a tool has been helping me out and a change in mind set. I’ve been trying to be intentional about what I want to do. And I’ve been using a fun app called Remember the Milk to help me do that. I don’t think it’s making me do more, but it’s helping me focus on what I can do in a moment here and moment there. I think my goals are too big and audacious. I just finished a morning of dishes, laundry, phone calls, and life’s minutiae. It was satisfying because I got done 3 things on my to do list. Other things I schedule for later and forget about them. There’s a freedom in that. We’ll see if it lasts, but it’s nice to have that experience.
