Going once, going twice

We attended the annual daycare auction. Auctions are a fine art in the Northwest, actually cultivated here as a profitable, fun way to fundraise. This is the second one we’ve been to. Last year we got an Epilogue gift certificate (bookstore) and Majestic Bay tickets (this provided Sara her first movie-Happy Feet). This year we scored a red Beanie Baby bull (for Guess who?), a baby rattle for $.50, a quilt with the handprints from Sara’s class, a bottle of wine, and handsewn baby shoes for Laura.
