Wiik of Wii!!

Yes the name is silly, but the box is simple and most importantly FUN!

Last week I was waiting in line at Fred Meyer at 5am, around 6:30 they gave out 29 tickets, and I was 35 , so we went over to Toy’s R Us, the line was huge and in the cold rain. We then drove to CompUSA, 2 folks in line, but the person drove up and said they didn’t get any. The same story at Costco and the other Fred Meyer had already sold out as well.

Wii Line

So I dropped my cohort off at home and raced down to Fry’s — the last stand. It was raining so hard by now that I could see the road (did I mention we have had more rain this month than any in recorded history?). I got in line and they handed out 45 tickets. I was 55… BUT this time everyone in front of me left, the rain had gotten to them. So now I was 46. I waited paitently and sure enough #12 griped about having to buy 5 lame games in addition to the Wii. I was more than happy to have his number.

Wii!!

Since I was at the end of line it took forever to actually obtain my Wii, since they processes them one at a time in single file. And by the time I actually got to the accessories table there was only one copy of Zelda left and only one extra controller and no nunchucks. Finding any accessories is now a futile exercise. The end result I managed to bring a Wii home and haven’t regretted it since.

My new best friend

Of course the best thing about it is Wii Sports. The boxing provides an incredible aerobic workout as does tennis. Zelda is pretty amazing too and Sara just loves making the wolf run around in the water.
