Baby time

It’s an unusual time. Laura is quiet and looking around her crib without crying or being held (already a difference from Sara). Her eyes are whirling to and fro in that uncontrolled manner of the newborn. Sara, Mom, and Wayne are going for a walk to visit Jon and Claire and see their new beagle Simon. Winston and Sara both got a new sibling on the same day! I’m not supposed to be too active due to birth trauma. My feet are still swollen after 3 liters of fluid during my labor and don’t fit into shoes too well.
I thought I’d take the time and write a bit. Laura is making her imprint on our lives, but with Mom’s help, the transition hasn’t been huge. Sara seems to be adapting well. I think she is enjoying her father being home. Nana has taken her to Webster Park to swing and collect leaves. Tomorrow is her birthday and she gets to go to the zoo.
