So we got a new GPS at REI today. Amazing device. Much more complex than I ever thought it would be. This device (Garmin GPSmap 60) can have road maps, topo maps, and marine maps. It can be used for car, hiking, boating, and plane navigation.
There is not a lot of support for it on the Mac. (Actually there is, if I get a serial cable adapter for it). To load maps on it, I will have to use a PC at work though, because none of the map software works on a Mac (this is true for any GPS manufacturer).
Anyway, here at home we are at: N 47 40.879′ W 122 23.928′ (plus or minus 22ft) Oh and in the second story of the house we are at 206 ft above sea level. Which is pretty amazing given how close we are to the water.
