Mountaineers’ Photography

We attended a really nice seminar given by the Mountaineers here in Seattle. The talk was by Tom Till. He is a really nice, soft-spoken photographer who schleps around a 4×5 land camera all over the world. He gave a very nice slide show, talked about his inspiration, the joys and trials of 4×5 photography, and how Bush is destroying the southwest faster than you can say “Canyonlands”.

It was only when he flashed one of his pictures up that Karen and I turned to one another and said, “Isn’t that hanging on our dining room wall?” We had no idea this was the guy who shot such a wonderful photo of Canyonlands, but now we do.
